Build better fundamentals at rimfire prices. The Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 Sport Dot Sight .22 LR 16.5″ puts AR-15 controls and handling in your hands chambered in .22 LR, making it one of the most cost-effective training tools available.

The Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 Sport Dot Sight .22 LR 16.5″ is a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle chambered in .22 LR, built around direct impingement operation for reliable cycling on the AR-15 platform.

Cost-Effective Proficiency: Shooting .22 LR means you can practice three times as long for the same ammunition budget. Consistent practice is the single biggest driver of shooting improvement.

Familiar Handling: Weight, balance, and control layout closely mirror full-caliber AR-15 configurations — your grip, stance, and trigger technique all carry over directly.

Accessible for New Shooters: Low recoil and low noise make this an approachable starting point for new shooters, younger family members, or anyone working to overcome a flinch.

Small Game Ready: Accurate at reasonable distances and with enough energy for pest control and small game, this platform pulls double duty beyond just range training.
